Guitar Lessons for Kids
It is recommended for young learners to have one lesson a week, as regular tuition is vital for steady progress. Lessons are held in the pupil’s location and an advanced CRB check can be presented on request.
The learning process should always be fun and as inspirational as possible, and not only covering guitar, but music as a whole – this way students can develop the confidence to participate in other musical endeavours, be it in groups or in solo performances.
It’s best for young beginners to start on a nylon string guitar – many sizes and designs can be found and they are generally cheaper than steel string guitars. Feel free to get in contact if you would like more information on what guitar would be best to buy.
And in terms of accompanying books, it will all depend on what style is to be followed, but Guitarist's Way and the Young Beginners series will be highly recommended.
All styles can be catered for and grades for Trinity, ABRSM and London College of Music are also offered.
